This policy explains how Makerflint LLC ("Makerflint", "we", "us") handles personal information. It covers one thing: the email address you may choose to share with us when you buy one of our games on the Epic Games Store.
If you opt in during or after your purchase on the Epic Games Store, we receive your email address. That is the only personal information we receive through this process.
We do not receive your payment details, your real name, your address, or your Epic account credentials.
We use your email address only to send you news about our games — release announcements, updates, and occasional development notes. We rely on your consent as the basis for this, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We use a third-party email delivery service to send our messages. It processes your address only to deliver mail on our behalf, under contract, and may not use it for its own purposes.
We may also disclose information if legally required to do so.
This policy covers only the email address we receive after you opt in. It does not cover any information Epic Games collects or processes — for that, see the Epic Games privacy policy.
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we remove it from our mailing list promptly, keeping only the minimum record needed to honor your opt-out.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately.
You may also email us to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Depending on where you live — including the EU/UK under the GDPR, and California under the CCPA/CPRA — you may have additional rights, such as requesting a copy of your data or objecting to its use. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
We limit access to your email address to the people who need it to send our newsletter, and we rely on reputable service providers to store and transmit it. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect deliberately minimal.
Our mailing list is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has been added, contact us and we will delete it.
We and our service providers may process your email address in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your email address will be announced in an email to subscribers.
